Well folks, its kinda like this: Ron and I have been huddled up in the studio practicing our guts out to expand our style for a wider listening audience. Both of us being so anal about every note being in its place, even in a simple ballad, this has been taking some time. then the Lord dropped a huge bonus right into our laps. William Norton, our champion banjo player from County Switch has volunteered to switch off on bass with me so we can keep up this project with a much deeper and broader sound and added vocals. This also gives us the option (which we will fully use) to play quality bluegrass from time to time during a show, you know, to alert the nodders! So we decided to go ahead and keep the name County Switch, which used to mean something around here. But due to various career and family issues, we had to call it a day for about ten or so years. NOW WE ARE BACK. we estimate, by the time we start getting gigs, we will be totally ready, if any musician ever is. lol. We do know we have two spots at the Farmers market soon, just not sure when. I am not going to dwell on all the stars we have warmed up for, radio shows (Thank You Monte Brown) and recording sessions. Then, new management at the Revell sent us a note stating our services would not be needed. that was a real low point. My point is that all these gigs came to US in those days and not one of us have much experience at selling ourselves or booking. We are looking to play restaurants, small pubs, small festivals and things like that wonderful Ruston library auditorium. so, if any of our peers and friends out there have any suggestions, please private message me or call me at 820 1170. Oh yeah, between the three of us we offer around ten to fourteen instruments and part of our comedy is watching us switch around and stumble into place. LOL (The amount of instruments will depend on the size of the show, of course.)
