Well good afternoon Ladies and Gents, What a fairly wild night - TopicsExpress

Well good afternoon Ladies and Gents, What a fairly wild night that was and our region was quite fortunate in a way that the Low pressure system was not too bad through our neck of the woods. Nevertheless anybody that did cop some damage I personally hope it was not too bad and that nobody was injured. Id like to selflessly praise the people that work through such weather systems from our SES to Bureau of Meteorology, RMS, Railway workers, Firies, Ambos and Police. Even down the chain to our Hospital workers the Doctors and Nurses whom tend to the injured. Not any one of those people are less important than the others and all have a role to play when conditions become extreme. Its really nice to have ISC as a springboard to be able to pass on warnings of these systems to all of our followers and rapidly be able to warn a mass amount of people rapidly. Just remember we are not a media entity here, were 6 guys who just love weather and share our passion. We never hype it up and were not thrillseekers. Sure its nice to see extreme weather in action but deep in our hearts we all dream of it being in an unpopulated area where it wont harm a single soul! To our followers, much praise, some of you made us laugh whilst knowing we were under the pump trying to warn people of risks and every thank you touches us, we thank you for you being thankful towards us. It was a rough system, more so for Sydney and it shows how rapidly these systems can intensify which is why we are very true to you all about the risks and warnings well in advance. Hours worth of storms, possible Tornado activity (Sydney), heavy rain, flash flooding, damaging winds, transport disruptions, airport issues and a significant snow outbreak to boot. Record book material! Everyone handled this so calm and well so three cheers all around! Its nice to see the weather easing off as we forecast as well. - Stephen
