Well good news today. Labs rules out issues of pancreas and liver. Ultrasound rules out any lower bowel obstruction and or constipation issues. Upper Gi taken this morning ruled out any blockage from neurofibromas. Yes! No surgery required at this juncture. However tests results from GI this morning proves Joshs stomach works really slowly. Suggesting a problem with the nerves from the neurofibroma encasing the aorta. The nerves are also making Joshs gag reflex very sensitive and this is the issue. The treatment at this time? Well, since removing the tumor would be life threatening they will be treating josh with stomach meds on a daily basis to help sooth the stomach and intestinal track. Also a medicine to help speed up the job of the stomach in the digestive process. He will also be meeting with a speech and dysphasia expert tomorrow to do swallow evaluation. All and all a good outcome for now. One day at a time. Today we are happy there is no surgery for the time being and we can treat whats going on:) Thank you Lord for your blessings and a good outcome. !!!
