Well got my first real but smallish post traumatic stress attack tonight. Fire alarm goes off around 8:30, my blinds are open and the fire trucks roll up into the parking lot lights every ehere..... Once the tears started, I couldnt stop t h em or slow them down. Then Im hyperventilating (or close to it )...... thank god the alarm wasnt a fire and the nurse and aid knew I would be affected like that and sat and hugged me till my crying slowed down and my breathing normalized, then she got my medication to me. Im ok now, lil headache and puffy crybaby eyes and muscles ache from tensing up..... gonna be asleep shortly .
