Well, had a great night...first night of sleep in quite a few days. They let us sleep and physically feel so much better. Have not seen her sarcoma ortho doc yet, however, infectious disease doctor came in and states that there is a positive culture from leg wound and that it may have been there this whole time...wont tell us what yet...wants to wait a few more days to see if anything else grows. He also told us that probably all the other cultures were negative in the past because the infection can form tracks that encase themselves making it difficult to obtain positive results...but these results that are positive we are waiting for sensitivity meaning we will find the appropriate antibiotic which will be best to fight the infection. Her leg wound remains to be draining but has slowed...pain decreased...remain to await what her ortho doctor may say about the positive culture or what may be his plan of surgery due to the new information. Remain awaiting at this time...Your prayers are so important at this time and are leaning on all of you...you are our friends and family and we love you so much!
