Well had my 3rd round of Solu Medrol 1000 mg yesterday. Was not feeling well at all to even update. Feeling exhausted today and pain in my legs and feet is terrible. But, surviving as usual. My doctor, bless her heart, has threatened the Insurance company big time with a law suit by her. They are refusing to pay for my much needed IVIG treatments and I have to have them. She said if they do not pay for these, the cost will be much higher if we wait much longer. The window of time for the IVIG treatments is narrowing and we cant wait much more :( Face swelling is worse and unfortunately lupus is progressing. But, I have complete confidence in my Doctor, she is the best and is going to bat for me. I have new prescriptions for 10 mg of Prednisone to take once daily...this is because I have had such large doses of the Solu Medrol for 3 days in a row that I have to maintain the steroids for a little while, can not just completely come off of them. Then, my Cellcept, instead of taking 1000 mg twice daily, it is now up to 1500 mg twice daily. Also adding in Lyrica which the Insurance company is refusing to pay too. I just love how the Insurance company calls the shots. My Doctor said if she does not get an approval after the nasty and firm letter she wrote them almost 2 weeks ago, we are calling the Insurance Commissioner of Michigan. But she asked me not to do that until she hears back. So, fingers crossed we will get approval. Thats it for the update for now. Hmmm lost track of how many pills I am taking now each day.
