Well here we are at the start of 2015. when I sit back and look at all the animals rescued this year It just doesnt seem possible.. We proudly announced on our 3rd year Anniversary (back in November), that we had reached the milestone figure of 1000 Rescued/Re-homed furry friends. This averages out since starting the Charity back in November 2009, 5 to 6 animals per week !!! Take this a step further and think on if these animals were not spayed… Mind boggling isn’t it. In fact.. Year End Stats 2014 Rehoming = 351 and for previous years = Total 2011 = 34 Total 2012 = 207 Total for 2013 = 433 WHICH GIVES A GRAND TOTAL OF 1025 SINCE AUGUST 2011. What has become crystal clear to me since the birth of AAR, is that it has become a wonderful entity, filled with dedicated, hard-working professionals and volunteers, that deeply care about the welfare of animals. From our Animal Army of volunteers that ensure a happy – and hopefully short stay for the animals within AAR, to our generous donors who provide the funds that allow us to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals, Axarquia Animal Rescue is truly a “village” of caring individuals working together toward a common goal: saving the animals. This we are truly forever in your debt.. Therefore take a moment out of your busy New Year’s Eve and reflect how you the public have become the back bone of AAR… We Wish you all a Very Happy New Year… Thank you xxx
