Well here we are the day after Thanksgiving, life returning to somewhat normal, moving forward to Advent and Christmas, followed quickly by the anniversary of my moms passing. Thanksgiving provided a enlightening conversation with Maya, when she asked me if I though Mom was eating Thanksgiving dinner in Heaven, and we talked about Spirit versus the physical being. Because we live in Heaven in the spirit, we are never hungry cold, or tired or sick, that these are things that only affect the physical being. Also because we on earth are combined spirit and physical, is why we can often feel our loved ones who passed around us. I told her how my Dad always wore Old Spice when he was alive but often I could smell Old spice wafting through the air in the house. Although I must admit that I have not experienced that since my mom passed, so I think those times he was merely dropping in to look in on my mom.. In any event, I think Maya was able to grasp the conversation, and I think it helped bring her some comfort..
