Well, here we go. Erin is off to her friends home for her first sleepover since she was brutally bullied. I cant help but be extremely nervous. Im not worried about the diet because Erin knows that if she eats anything she isnt supposed to she will get an upset belly. Im not worried about the meds because Erin knows which meds she takes and what they are for. Im not worried about behavior because Erin knows how to behave and is a great kid. My only worry is the loss of bowel/bladder control at night and urgency during the day and what this friend will say and do if she ever gets mad at Erin. I know Erin is older now and can advocate for herself fairly well. I know she has spoken to this friend about her medical issues and warned her of these problems. I just cant help being nervous. Her other friends decided to call her names and bully her because of these issues from kindergarten all the way through 2nd grade. Hopefully, Erin and this friend will get through this without those problems. Meanwhile, this Mom is going to be very nervous all night (and probably anytime Erin and this friend have an argument for quite some time). Still, I am so excited for my little girl because this is a big step and she is going to have so much fun!!! :)
