Well. here we go, we see people struggling in their relationships and life in general, many think and talk about how God is sending them trials. One thing that needs to be understood is there are trials and there are consequences. Trials are are used to form us into a vessel of Gods choice, show us our weaknesses and to recognize how great God is. Sometimes consequences look the same but in reality they are the results of decisions that we have made. In an abusive relationship, what could God be trying to show in that kind of a relationship when the plan for a marriage is for the two to become one, and to mimic Christ and the church. In the relationship is it what God wants for you or is it one that makes the emotions feel good, God is not the author of confusion, He is not the author of an abusive relationship, He is not the author of the consequences of our wrong decisions. When the marriage part is bypassed, that is saying God you dont know what is best. Gods plan for the family is a stewardship program. His plan was for a man and a woman to become one flesh through the marriage, to raise the children up in a way that would honor God, which He has given stewardship over them. When we make decisions to bring them into the world, not in the relationship that He instituted, it is not the childrens fault. But we will give account to God for the way we treat them and guide them in life. Matthew 18:5-6 “Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea. Matthew 18:5-6 “Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea. When we cant make ends meet worry about getting food or a place to stay and say why is God letting me go through this, when God promises that if we would seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33. Sometimes it may be that we have not been seeking God as He would have us to, or maybe because we are too lazy, or maybe we are too proud to take a job that we feel is beneath us. We need to do an inventory of the relationships, attitudes and see if they match God.
