Well, heres something that I suspect may attract a few bites. There is an article headed NMC signs misconduct pledge, in the January 2015 edition of The Country Courier. (Longford publication distributed in Midlands municipalities). It reads: - Northern Midlands Council is one of four councils that have signed up to support the Tasmanian Integrity Commissions Speak Up campaign, which is designed to combat misconduct in local government and in state government departments and agencies. Prompted by 2014 allegations of improper conduct in Health Organisation South, the campaign urges elected officer and staff not to remain silent but to report incidents or praties that may need legal investigation. Three other councils and 14 government departments and agencies from across Tasmania had signed on the Speak Up campaign by mid December 2014 [End of Article] Then, I visited the Integrity Commission website to see what is recorded about the campaign. integrity.tas.gov.au/prevention_and_education/speak_up_campaign We commend the following agencies for taking the lead and adopting Speak up thus far: Department of Education Southern Midlands Council Motor Accidents Insurance Board Tasmania Health Organisation –– North Department of Health and Human Services Kingborough Council The Public Trustee Tasmania Health Organisation –– North West Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority Glenorchy City Council Northern Midlands Council Tasmanian Audit Office Tasmania Health Organisation –– South TasTAFE Retirement Benefits Fund Cradle Coast Authority Forestry Tasmania Metro Tasmania Hydro Tasmania Department of Police and Emergency Management TasRail integritycommission.createsend/t/ViewEmailArchive/d/7B46F4810468568D/C67FD2F38AC4859C/
