Well how wonderful! The lovely peoples at über creative wedding blog Nouba have just run a story on our Luxe At Lamonts Pop Up Wedding last month! You simply must check it out. ;-) So, I keep getting asked where the idea for the Perth Pop Up Wedding came from and how the concept was developed... Well, to answer that question, the original concept actually came out of Canada. A collaborative called the pop-up wedding project ran their first event in 2013 and it looked like so much fun that when a colleague from Brisbane whod seen the idea and suggested we host one in Perth, I approached Angela Higgins & Jess at The Butcher, The Baker, The Stylist & Creator to see if theyd be interested. Well, they were both completely sold on the idea and booked in before the end of the day! It’s amazing how quickly it all came together. Everyone jumped on board with such enthusiasm that there was no holding it back. Although we knew there had been a few unsuccessful attempts in Brisbane, where the idea didn’t take off initially, our concept was completely different, which is why we think its been such a huge success and really raised the profile of the pop-up wedding. Simply put, our priority isn’t on generating a profit - Our focus is completely about providing our brides with the most stunning day we possibly can, using the best suppliers in the business. For everyone involved, this is simply a labour of love… Our focus is on design and beauty… And even though it costs us three times as much, were the only Pop Up Wedding giving our couples three amazing, uniquely styled and decorated ceremony areas to choose from. Firstly, because we want to allow our couples to select an area that feels right for them and their guests, but also because every couple is different and we don’t want everyones wedding photos from the day looking exactly the same. Basically, we see this as a fun way to bring love back into a missing segment of the bridal marketplace, somewhere between the traditional wedding and the Marriage Office. We do however feel that the concept of the Pop Up Wedding should have some exclusivity around it, and therefore, our last two events will be held in February and May 2015. For those couples involved, it will be something they can hold dear and talk to their grandkids about, knowing that they were one of a handful of couples who got to work on a project put together by the best of the best in the Perth wedding industry. :-) nouba.au/perth-pop-up-wedding-lamonts-bishop-house
