Well, if anyone ever told me one year ago that on the Saturday before Christmas that I would be writing this post I probably would have thought they were crazy. The past year has been a very different kind of journey. I nestled beside friends as they suffered the loss of a loved one and they in turn nestled beside me. I keep hearing the words of a John Denver song, all my lifes a circle over and over in my head. So, when Eileen and I headed off early this morning to visit mom and my father in law, I wasnt sure just how I would be feeling when I returned home. Well, I am so glad that I shared this holiday visit with my Eileen as I used to call her after she was born since I already had two brothers. We have seen or talked to each other every day since August 7th. But we have never been alone to really talk about how our life changed in an instant. My first gift of family this season was todays road trip. Thankful beyond words that I had this time with just my sister, Eileen, my friend. 😍
