Well, if anyone watched the Discovery ID channel last night - which I didnt- all you saw (according to my son) was an under-developed rehashing of the story of a 45 year old murder in Truro. The murderer, in this particular story, just happened to be his father. Last nights version was- as most are- ,replete with skewed facts, dull repetitions, a few cameo appearances from aging peripheral principals seeking the 15 minutes of fame that eluded them the first time around, and more erroneous suppositions and conclusions than a debate in a crowded gin mill at midnight. Some months back this film company, after getting their hands on a copy of the book In His Garden, used Facebook to track me down, along with a lot of my friends and even family members of the victims. When we were approached, most of us were unflinchingly opposed to trotting out this old nightmare for the sake of sensationalism, attention, ratings, or advertising dollars for a company who chose to go ahead with this project - absolutely devoid of any redeeming quality or purpose-knowing full well that they would be the butcherers this time ...... of a sad, tragic and complex tale that never accomplishes anything constructive in its retelling.
