Well if that wasnt one of the wickedest days racing...youll want to read this report! My day started at 4:30 am, parc ferme by 6:30 to change all my minutes (because officials put the wrong ones up on the website). Rain starts. Hello lets see how today goes. Off at 839, came into my first control pissed off swearing due to a rider. Got in trouble for swearing. Oops. Really struggle with the amount of grass tests in the day ( I dont know shit about riding up and down and around on grass). But then! The trail time turned into one giant Jtheboy ride with huge rocky hills that looked like a bomb had hit them, glasshouse mud holes (yep, landed in one) freezing cold fog, and rain, AND dust! As soon as you got up a giant hill, you were pretty much certain to go immediately down. Like steep steep out of control down. At one stage I was lucky to run off the track and wedge my front wheel in a log fork to slow down! Of course with all the fog, goggles fogging up in side from the tighter sections, dust, and rain, I spent 90% of the ride with no goggles. Now my eyes are so blurry and red I look like a vampire and everyone looks gorgeous everywhere I go haha. There was one special test out in the middle of no where that I really liked, was my type of riding! So looking forward to seeing results. Finished off a very tidy 210 ks of some of best riding I have done in an enduro. The trail times were tight, Lots of people went over trail time including me but I believe they wiped all trail penalties for today due to the conditions. A huge thanks to Mass-Nutrition Kawana & Mooloolaba: my Vitargo kept me going all day as I had no time to stop and refuel ME! The bike was tip top, soldiered on fantastically, thanks MPE Suspension! And to John and Frank and Wayne and all my other riding buddies, you would have been goddamn proud of how well I rode today. Thanks so much for everything youve taught me, this was our kind of riding today and I was so happy and had so much fun! Just not in the grass track special tests haha.
