Well, if thats not just ducky... about those ...things youre not so proud of. One is, that he was the 1st President I voted for ~ what did I know about politics at 18 living in Texas? In 1971, the 26th Amendment to the US Constitution gave 18 year olds the right to vote (was 21) and I was in that first voting group. Texans and some media sources of the day painted George McGovern as a communist... good grief, now I know that he wasnt at all. Lessons learned and now Im most proud of my political activity as State Committeewoman for the Democratic Party in WA state! The write-up: You know how to get things done. You believe in compromising, deal making, and occasionally some things youre not so proud of. You have a way about you that upsets some people, but in the end, you are the one they come to when they need something done.
