Well in honor of Woman crush Wednesday I am picking my beautiful daughter Arianna Michele!!! A year ago today we got the shocking news that she was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. It was a very unexpected shock. We were devastated & all of us went thru a range of emotions. It was a crazy feeling like youre going backwards bc she was 16 & capable of staying by herself for years but suddenly I felt like she was a little child again & that I could not leave her alone BC what if her sugar dropped or what if it spiked & no one was home. But with the help of family, friends & God weve managed to live with her disease. I find myself blessed everyday knowing that it could have been much worse. Although it was a trying time she had to overcome her fear of needles in an extremely short amount of time & gives herself shots daily. Arianna I am so proud of you for the beautiful young lady you are inside & out & how you have not let diabetes attack you but yet you have attacked diabetes!!!! I love you to pieces!!!!
