Well it got late last night real fast. Went to bed and sleep was nowhere to be found.....so being the man that I am my natural response was to pick up the clicker (which pretty much stays on my nightstand on my side of the bed :0)) and flicked on the tv. After flicking through the channels I found a movie was just beginning to come on, so I waited to see if I recognized it. Sly Stallones final Rocky Balboa came on!!! (All the ladies said, Oh boy!) Well once more I enjoyed the heart of the man roled as the star of the movie AND also did enjoy the silent message offered at the ending of the story. That message is: Rocky, being in his 50s.....long past his prime is fighting a much younger and undefeated heavyweight champion well within his prime who has never fought anyone past the early rounds....thus was also questioned as to whether or not he would be a worthy contender should he be pushed to go the distance. The result of the contest was this......the judges ruled a split decision....95 to 94 each.....two judges ruling for Mason The Line Dixon with one judge ruling in favor of the Italian Stallion. Thus the outcome resulted in proving the earlier computer fight result as totally correct. Had Balboa been in his prime he would have definingly won the contest! The other resulting outcome of the contest was that this confrontation did also legitimize Mason Dixons depth as a champion in that he proved that he could take a beating and go the distance. Rocky had even embraced Mason after the fight while still in the ring and told him, Youre a great champion! Way to go out Sly! Great story!
