Well it has been a long day, here is a video of our lil Lucky Quarter. What you are seeing is some of the outward signs of ulcers in foals, notice how she wants to eat, but wont because of the pain also you can hear her chewing and grinding her teeth. I cant get the pics from today to load but our trip to the U of MN didnt go so well. We found out Quarter has ulcers so bad that it has closed down where the stomach and the small intestine meet. While I want to and will tell you all about this little ones history, I am absolutely exhausted from today. So the short version of a long story is a-lot of great people are coming together for this little chic and we are going to let her keep fighting. She has tried so hard to keep going through all this pain, and we just cant give up on her yet. She has a 50/50 shot to make it through the surgery and I know you all will have many questions. While we wont address them tonight, I can tell you sometimes you have to take a chance and believe so that you might see. Her surgery is at 9am tomorrow morning, please say a prayer for her and her surgeon Dr. Ernst, along with all the other hands that will help her along the way. We would like to say a Big Thank You to the Minnesota Hooved Animal Rescue Foundation, University of Minnesota Equine Center, Jean Bengston, Sunrise Equine & all of you who are sending your love prayers and support for this special filly. Blessings to you all
