Well it has been a long sleepless night as I have laid by my buddies side of the last 13 years, Bullet was picked up on 9-11-2001 a scheduled to be put down the day I found him, or should I say the day he pushed that big ole mug of a head into my life! The kennel workers all said you dont want him he is food aggressive and we call him knothead cause he is stubborn, yet he was the only dog in the kennel that day not barking at the top of his lungs and lunging at the gate, I called to him, he got up walked causally over sniffed my hand and gave it a soft lick. yep this is the one I want I told the lady and home we went, this majestic dog would be spared the needle on this day and share our home for the next 13 years! Bullet took lots of training to become the protective and loving guardian of the household but he took to it like a champ,he learned to speak in that Malamute voice of his and would say I wuv you, nooooo....., when if you asked him to sing he would give that long drawn out howl........ he would win your heart every time. This morning we will be taking our last trip in the truck together in the old truck as we travel to the vet to say our good byes.... there will be teats of sadness and smile of relief as he leaves this cancer ridden body behind and goes to run the fields of heaven with his brother Bear and sister Ginger who are hanging out with Pop above, he couldnt ask for better company cause Pop gives the best belly scratches! Let your head lay at rest my friend your journey is over on this plain and will begin anew with those that went on before you soon! God speed my faithful friend!
