Well, it has certainly been an interesting week. We embarked on our trip to Mexico City and Peru. We made it thru several days in Mexico City, but when we landed in Lima we learned that my mom had passed away. So we canceled our trip and headed to Chicago for the funeral, the day after mothers day. But the week wasnt all bad. We had some wonderful moments as well. No one likes a funeral, but it does bring family together. I was thrilled to see cousins, nieces, nephews and friends that I havent seen in quite some years. And I got to spend some time with my daughters and Eric. I met my new grand daughter, Frances, for the first time. But I think the highlight of the trip for me was when Olive climbed into my lap, rested her head against my shoulder and took a nap. And of course, we got to meet Antonio Banderas. Its been a long and tiring week, and we are finally home. Tomorrow I will start planning the sequel.
