Well it is official. After over 300,000 photos in little less that 3 years, my Canon 60d has died. I am a little bummed. But really I celebrate. Being a photographer has brought me so much joy. Before I got my 60d I feel like I was not living life at all. My camera taught me to see. Not just with a view finder but now the world is so rich in color and form, filled with magic and wonder. I took some amazing photographs if I do say so. The images captured with that camera have been made to post cards, been in art shows, in a museum, in magazines and even a few so good to be stolen and bandied about as some one else work. Yea Ill miss the old girl but she deserves to rest this month till I have enough money to send her to Canon to be refurbished (did you think she was really gonna be retired?).
