Well, it is official, even if I live another 100 years, I wont ever see a better baseball game than I attended tonight. That was the most amazing, emotionally draining, and crazy game I have ever seen. After nearly 5 hours filled with standing, chanting, yelling, cursing, and ultimately jumping up and down with joy...I am exhausted! Now to go watch my DVR of the game!! Also, when times were the bleakest tonight down 7-3 in the eighth inning, a miracle occurred in that one Christie Jones discovered the magical powers of what shall henceforth be known as The Lucky Lip Balm. No sooner was it applied then the Royals Rally started. Once it was 7-5 I felt I had no other choice but to partake of it myself as well and boom...immediate wild pitch to score another run. It was brought back out to be reapplied for the 9th inning and did the trick once again in helping the tying run to come across. Due to its exact mechanism of action still being somewhat of a mystery at this point, we werent able to make it work in the 10th & 11th inning and thus it had to be retired at that point for the good of the team. Im thinking it may be something that doesnt work in extra innings though. Thus, if the Royals are in need of a boost in innings 1-9 on Sunday, the lucky lip balm will be in attendance ready to lend its assistance once again. :)
