Well, it looks like more military might will be used against soft targets to supposedly quell the ISIS movement. And this is after all a problem of our own making in taking out Saddam etc originally. It was not so long ago Blair was entertaining the Syrian PM at taxpayers expense and look at all this now. Of course it will likely mean more thousands of innocent people falling victim to homeless, torture, rape and pillage, murder etc etc and so it goes on. And after all the military action this time what then??....The Sunni and Shiite war between Moslems can be traced back centuries, we should never have got involved in that. Of course its a humanitarian crisis, it ALWAYS is a humanitarian crisis. I dont have an answer, but history has shown that military action in these circumstances is only a temporary solution. Its whats at the heart of these terrorists that needs to be addressed. After all it was not so long ago our country tried to indoctrinate other countries with its religious principles ( eg British Empire, Crusades etc) and even now our politics is dominated by religious influences ( eg our PM cannot be Catholic for example and the House of Lords reserves places for Bishops but not for Atheists) and we have a Royal Family that is still ensconsed in middle ages religious thinking and rituals. There are times when I look at the world stage and wonder if I really belong to this human race, or even this planet, so much is so fundamentally wrong. Perhaps self annihilation is natures answer to rid the world of this human race and start over with something much more intelligent and benign......
