Well, it looks like science is finally catching up. :) Most people with hypothyroidism are treated with Synthroid (T4), and for MANY people, this is completely inadequate and they go on having symptoms. If you have hypothyroidism, and your T4-only treatment hasnt eliminated your symptoms, then I would recommend two things: 1) Find a physician who will be on board with you taking a T4/T3 combination therapy (like dessicated thyroid) instead of just continuing to insist that you take Synthroid/T4. (Note: If you have very high RT3, you may even want to find give compounded pure T3 a shot). 2) Address all of the nutrition and lifestyle factors that we already know are intimately interconnected with hypothyroidism. (This is the purpose of my Metabolism Supercharge program). This is hugely important--as important as medication, or MORE important--and very few people are addressing these things.
