Well it`s Christmas Eve. I hope you are all surrounded by your loved ones, your nearest and dearest. Is your tree lit, fire and candles on? Enjoying a little pre Christmas beverage? Presents wrapped and tagged under your tree? Has nobody been forgotten? Are you sure? While we are all safe, warm and happy, please spare a thought to our kennel dogs, yes they are safe, but they would love a home of their own. Romeo, Lewis, Edie, Yoshi, Ziva and Flavia are currently under our care. They have toys, treats and blankets galore. That goes to show the support JAWT has from our supporters who want to help, but perhaps not in the position to adopt or foster. They all will enjoy a full Christmas dinner tomorrow also! The support this year has been incredible, we have never seen anything like this in previous years, it has touched each and every one of the trustees. From transporting, fostering, assessing dogs, fundraisers, carrying out home checks and of course our adopters! You guys rock, you are all playing the part of a component of the beast that is JAWT. Hazel & Jays toy/treat drive was amazing. The fun of the auctions has brought delight to many, and just goes to show how much people want to help. Huge thank you to all who have donated items to the auctions over the year, and to the wonderful item winners too! We really have been blown away this year, and the support has enabled us to help save the lives of more Akitas being killed, for no reason bar being surplus to pound kennels. Personally I have a couple of articles coming in the New Year, I will also have a post next week as usual, but tonight is for our babies in the kennels. Share their posters, help us find them homes. They are a wonderful bunch, some of you may meet them soon, once they are adopted, their spaces will soon be filled, we have dogs waiting on their kennel space already. It is never ending. We cannot accomplish this without your support. So from myself and all of the trustees and admin team here at JAWT, thank you, to everybody who has helped, even by sharing a post, everything matters. YOU have the ability to change a life. Do it.
