Well, it seems someone found and commented on a year old post of mine and now everyone is commenting on it like its new info...so I hope this will serve as a bit of a correction and clarification. My dad has been thru some major health issues since I was a child. About this time last year we believed with near certainty that he was facing a bout with cancer. Thankfully what the doctors had prepared us for was not reality and he was given a clean bill with regard to bladder cancer. Since then he has had his right leg amputated, two revision surgeries, and has, as this point, been hospitalized or living in a rehab facility for about 4 months. That said, your continued prayer on behalf of my dad and mom are greatly appreciated. At this point we are encouraged as dads strength increases daily. They are trying to get him strong enough to learn to become independent and then get him fit for a prosthetic leg. A new concern is that his big toe on the left foot has a wound that needs to heal. The doctor has mentioned amputation of that toe as well, but wants to see him strong enough to get around before going down that path. Please pray that the toe heals and its never necessary to go there.
