Well it was a great day at Candie Dasa I did the crash dummy and set off first and they all followed quickly after as good height was found quickly. I managed to claw my way up to 580m ASL and did some nice glides one off past Whites beach and back arriving back at over 400m. There was considerable lift bubbles all across the valley crossing to keep me up. I did a glide out to sea till I was between the Islands either side before reaching my pull the pin and head home height of 400m. The flight back afforded me of a wonderful view of the team flying all across the main ridge for a few minutes. Over time the thermic conditions started to get very punchy. And as a result wing stability and comfort was declining so we all started to head back to the Village for landing. Marie-Louise who broke all her personal bests in that flight landed safely on the beach as did Aaron, Penny, Peter, Chris and I. The Belgians landed some other place? They were also subject to a great flight. It was great to have Chris there to help the lower hours pilots with launch and landing. Most pilots made it to cloud base. On my glide home I flew down to my Hotel the "Temple Cabins" before turning at around 350m height to return to the landing beach with the others. On my return I found that Peter had managed to get down to my height so I pulled Big ears and dived for the beach to give him a clear beach to land on after I had quickly cleared my kit from his way. Packing up was a lovely social event by the pool with a cool drink. just metres form landing. I will be making a video to post when I get home. It is my new Goal to rather than turn back and land at the hotel I intend to glide on to the hills on the coast to the west of Candie and gain height to continue on to the next set beyond if I can see suitable landing. I think we can fly over 15km that way. So I will give it a go! I will try to hitch a ride back once I land or to make a call to the team to come get me. The flying is definitely amazing here!
