Well, it was a great morning in Darwen Cemetery. A chilling wind and rain accompanied the morning broadcast - the first of four planned cemetery visits this month. Some really interesting interviewees, including Billy Briggs, the foreman of the grave digging team, who has been digging graves in the cemetery for 41 years and members of the Friends of Darwen Cemetery who recounted tales of some of the many interesting people buried there. Theres talk of visiting four more cemeteries in April which is nice. :-) If youre in the UK, heres a link to the programme which is available online for the next month.
