Well, it wasnt pretty! But I made it through Christmas. It was hard, I cried, I went a couple of days without a shower! I sat in the cold and had only my animals to snuggle with most of the day. WOW! This all sounds very familiar! Thats just how Jesus came into this world! And He showed up in my world at just the right moments. Miraculously, He came in the form of friends, calls and text at just about the time I thought I could not make it through another minute. He came as old friends gathered in and made more food than I could possibly eat! Girlfriends who made me laugh. And He came through the strong shoulders of my big brother who has always been there for me -- even when Im trying to tough it out alone. He came. And Jesus still arrives in the hard places, in the cold and lonely moments. Emmanuel! God IS with us, indeed!
