Well, its been 7 days now and I am on the down stretch in ... Today was a slower pace travel and although my original route was to find Hilliard Florida , the streets of Ohio / Kentucky and Oxford would have been fun, The Okefenokee Swamp gifted me with a pleasure of Blessings :) The drive around the Swamp offered scents of char and emerging new growth and then a golden copper and rich healthy little friend slide into my path :) We parted quietly and then I found myself in awe of a Peregrine Falcon perched in front my car after I interrupted his lunch. Silently he flew up to a limb and Yes, Just as I went to reach for the camera his span opened to drift gently to the opening only he could find in a Forrest wall ... The next part of the journey took me into Stark Florida that had Vintage theater and yet still the same concerns of a struggling economy. I would challenge each to take a path inside our country, this week has shown me the unknown story the television appears to ignore ... Finally, I am comfortable in a new hotel in Waldo Florida - Yes, I found Waldo !!! I want to say, those of you who have asked for a summary or authoring of this trip that I too think that may come. But first, the roads isolation has begun to capture my attention and the luxury of clean Hotel rooms slowly are loosing the appeal of day 3 ... I suppose its a lot like a Cruise - 7 days is a long time to spend on a boat & 8-10 days in a car slowly fade the romance ... I am grateful your still here with me and tolerate my postings, they are intended to give witness and share what many of you have said to me in private emails and comments - That you too are not only following, but perhaps even looking out the passenger window for a while...
