Well its been a very eventful weekend. Liam has been out with a cold. His cough has diminished greatly but it was to the point we were suctioning blood from his trachea. Today he woke up smiling. I wasnt getting blood at first but Im assuming the airway is irritated as for suctioning him this morning it started again. He was playing by the window a few minutes ago and I hear him loudly babbling and saying mama. Go figure. He pulled out his trach. He knows he is ready. My anxiety level has been at a 20. I cry over everything and I also am battling a cold. As soon as I feel better I feel like a semi hit my face. Im very surprised that Liam has handled his cold so much better then I have. Tomorrow we make the journey down to Madison. Im feeling very overwhelmed. Sad and excited. Its like preparing yourself for the best/worse day of your life. I know that sounds crazy, but I dont know what other way to describe it. I will make sure to update as much as I can on Wednesday. Once again. Thank you for being on the amazing journey with us.
