Well, its been almost a week and a half since I took a spectacular fall, (not in terms of heights, but rather repercussions) broke my leg and dislocated my elbow, and almost a week since I had surgery to put a plate and something like 10 screws in my leg. It is amazing how life can change so incredibly quickly. Moving from independence to utter reliance on others; changing from a life on the move, with a hectic pace, to long stretches of not having the energy for even simple reflection. And in the midst of it all, I find myself simply grateful. Grateful that my injuries arent worse and will heal; grateful for the thoughts, prayers and well wishes from so many; and beyond grateful for my family who shares and shows their unconditional love and care with such grace. I love you.
