Ive watched this clip many times in the past year around this time of day, since the first time I saw it, when Mikal Gilmore shared it, with these words: Im grateful there arent that many musical performances this affecting, because I dont think my heart could bear it. The look that Phil gave Don as he watched his brother sing is a look born from a lifetime of difficult yet enduring love. This isnt for the weak of heart. Its a year since Phil Everly died but one thing is certain, the music he made will never be forgotten and will continue to nurture souls.
