Well...its now sundown here in Houston...which means its not only the Sabbath day, but tonight is also the start of Yom Kippur, Day of Atonement. So thankful that our atonement was made nearly 2000 years ago on a cross in Israel by our wonderful and precious Messiah Yeshua (Jesus)! Though Biblically this is a day of fasting and repenting for personal as well as corporate (national) sins, from a Messianic perspective, it is also a day that brings to mind the words of our Messiah, where He told us about the purpose of fasting...which was, in part, to set the captives free. Have you been holding something against someone...perhaps even against yourself? Well, today would be a great day to release that person from the unforgiveness you have carried in your heart towards them....and to release yourself from the torment and guilt of your own past sins. This is a new day, and in Messiah, we start fresh every day. Keep short accounts with God, and with others. Shabbat Shalom everyone!
