Well its official, no more treatments! Wish I could say it was because Im cured, or that my blood didnt need it anymore. Not the case. The treatment has completely wiped out my white cells and without them my body couldnt even fight a common cold. To continue could lead to hospitalization or the mental ward, lol, AND if my dog cant go, then Im not going :)!! I was told prior to starting the pegasys that it causes severe depression, and Im here to tell you it does! Im not sure how I feel about quitting, I would tell anyone who would listen that, Im done. this is my last one I cant do this anymore but in all honesty I wanted to see it through. For my overall well being the decision was made by the DR. He did compliment me, he said, I lasted longer and did better than he thought I would. And that more than 50 % quit in the first month. I made it 8 months! Ill take that! So now I wait a month for the treatment to work all the way out of my system and then we check my blood and schedule another bone marrow biopsy, basically to see what stage my disease is in, that will also tell us what other treatments that I might qualify for. Then repeat! Overall Im doing good and each day Ill feel better and better. Im so thankful I have such a wonderful Doctor and a very patient Husband. xos And loving Friends and Family !! (thanks Jay)
