Well its officially been 13 hours since the dogs got out and went missing. Im exhausted. Mentally, physically and emotionally. My son is devastated, my grandchildren are heartbroken. I have driven out an entire tank of gas today looking for them. We have found out from all the wonderful people who have been on the lookout for them that they have been painfully close to us on several occasions today. For instance at 7 pm while I was in the dance studio dropping off Aidan, apparently one of the dancers saw both dogs in the parking lot of the tire store nextdoor. NEXTDOOR!!! Can you believe it? And at 630, just 15 minutes before we drove right past it on our way to dance, they were spotted at the Family Video on Gage. All of these close calls with finding them only makes me all the more sad. I know they have to be so scared. Its dark and cold and theyve been out 14 hours so I know theyre exhausted. Ive cried so much tonight that I cant even see straight anymore so Im going to stop driving and go home. I dont know how I will tell the kids that I dont have their dogs. I was sure I could find them. I feel terrible. I just hope and pray that they find their way home somehow some way. And I hope that they are still together, because if theyve gotten separated then I know they will be even more scared than they already were. Please say a prayer for our fur babies to keep them safe from harm and bring them home to us.
