Well, its that time, again. Its time to purge the friends - TopicsExpress

Well, its that time, again. Its time to purge the friends list. Facebook is like my living room. I dont invite false teachers into my home. I dont have books containing false teaching on my shelves. While my living room is a place for fellowship and conversation, as well as opportunities to sharpen iron with iron, it is not a place for debate. Guests in my living room dont get to heckle me as if they were standing before me as I stand on a box and preach the gospel. So, with the above in mind, if you subscribe to false teachings or unbiblical philosophies such as: 1. Nomadism (evangelists or abolitionists with a low view of the Church who refuse to submit themselves to the authority and accountability of a local church) 2. Pelagianism 3. Sinless Perfectionism 4. Open-Theism 5. King James Onlyism 6. Modalism 7. Egalitarianism 8. Roman Catholicism 9. Protesting true churches within the Body of Christ 10. New Apostolic Reformation, Word of Faith, or Health, Wealth, & Prosperity 11. Or if you find yourself trapped in a rabid form of Cage Stage-itis (i.e. Calvinism, Evangelism, Eschatology, etc), and you just cant seem to play well with others... Or, if you post quotes, sermons, or advertisements from the likes of: Rick Warren Joel Osteen T.D. Jakes Joyce Meyer Beth Moore Bill Johnson Paula White Anyone else in the TBN stable Or any of a host of fallen pastors... I will soon be removing you from my friends list. You are welcome to like my public page. I give a little more latitude, there. This isnt personal. Im not angry with anyone. I just dont want my family and church family being exposed to, well, theological and philosophical garbage on my personal Facebook page. Also, if I do not know you personally (meaning we have not actually met), or if you are not a member of my church, a supporting church, or a student or staff member at either TMS and/or TMC, then I want to encourage you to like my public page. I am going to try, yet again, to limit my personal Facebook page to people I know. I KNOW this wont do any good, but Ill try again....... PLEASE dont PM to argue/plead your case to stay on my friends list, especially when I have a public page you are welcome to like and follow my ministry that way. Its REALLY NOT that important to be on my friends list.
