Well, its that time of year again. Four years down and many more to go without my brother in my life. The loss of Cody consumes me on a daily basis. I want to thank all my family, friends, and boyfriend Corey Mize for being so patient with me and my mood swings. Losing Cody changed me. Id like to say I was still a great version of my old self, but Im just not and I never will be again. I constantly think about what could have been. Ill never have nieces and nephews that bear the last name Watson. Ill never have that sister-in-law that I pick apart and eventually make my best friend. Ill never see Cody grow a beard or lose his hair. I wont have Cody to keep me sane when we lose our parents one day. I dont have my best friend, backbone, and #1 cheerleader any longer in my life. The pain doesnt go away. Ive just learned to adapt to this new life that lacks the full love and excitement that it once held. Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to text, message, and post about Cody Watson. I love him dearly and I hope everyone takes a moment today to honor his precious memory. He was a bright soul who burned out too soon.
