Well its time for a car upgrade. It all started when Mercedes launched their new C class. Went and had a look, especially the diesel version, but thought it noisy, typical diesel rattle. Our Jaguar dealer sent out an email lat week saying come in over the weekend and test drive their full range. The first one I dove was a 3L twin turbo diesel, what a stunning engine, with fuel economy of 6L per 100km for a vehicle that weighs 1850kg. Comes with an 8 speed auto and develops 500Nm torque, put the boot in and you get pushed back in the seat. I was sold, and didnt need drive the smaller, noisy diesel. They let us have it over the weekend, so went up to Melbourne to visit Steven and Rebecca. Round trip of about 250km, I averaged 6.1 L per 100km. Took it back Monday, and said we wanted a red on, not a white one. He rang Yesterday to say no red ones, but offered us an incredible deal on a new one. Had a look today, he dropped his price to what we think is good, so signed on the spot, and it is a better spec that what we were originally looking at. Its a 2014MY, XF S a Luxury Jaguar, with the 3L twin turbo Diesel engine, 8 speed auto, and this one has 600Nm,with 19 wheels, sun roof and is a Stratus Grey colour. Basically a stunning vehicle to drive, possible the best vehicle I have driven in all my years in the auto industry, and Marion just loves the look of it. Pick it up Monday. Cheers from a very happy couple
