Well, just had my first experience with my debit card being compromised. Someone in Canada used my card 3 times to buy food and gas. Thankfully it wasnt my bank card and Paypal is refunding me the money immediately and sending out anew card. Scary. Could have been so much worse. And whats even scarier is that there really isnt a way to protect yourself against it. From what they said, they could have gotten my info just by trying out a bunch of numbers until they hit one that works or if a store that I shop at was compromised. One of those things that you never think will happen to you until it does. Im just thankful that i caught it thanks to their email notifications and that the person didnt go and try to buy something expensive. Still pisses me off, though.
