Well last posting of tonight will be for my beautiful friend laid to rest today. Loved to dance, and boy did we dance when we were younger, I was one of four sisters, they danced somehow i took interest in other things, did not stop me wanting too , or learning, remember putting on your shoes , silver with big shiny buckles and the bright orange ball room dress, remember the walnut bra!! MINE!! could have killed you both, I was the runt of the pack, a stick insect , had to be plastered with make up to get into places and wear shoes like door stoppers, but those days were precious, Boy did we walk then, not like today, thought nothing of walking 8 miles home after a night out, no coats, depth of winter, shoeless at times and not a care in the world. Think we lived, think we had fun, most of all shared something special. You helped me through some difficult times, fed me the most boring food, hot dogs on toast with baked beans! Remember the Pier Ballroom, my cherry dress from the catalogue, paying 25p each a week, edged with white trims, and a real cherry broach, we thought we were special, we thought we could rule the world, we thought we would be hear forever, if only.
