Well last two days out on ocean off R Bay over the weekend were not spectacular with a dropped fish on Saturday and a no show on Sunday. Hansie on Boyansea fought a nice fish for over 4 hours and unfortunately lost it, so the fat ones are out there just not in the numbers. Water also not looking that great at moment after the big SW but some good plankton lines starting to show with the warm water along the cooler upwellings. Had an interesting time doing some day drops for the elusive BB and caught a rare Antarctic Driftfish of 19kg, a rare sight in R Bay. Will post some pics later. Back home in EC for now but have an invite to fish a boat in Angola in March in a big compo and then on to Gabon again in April so some interesting prospects in the near future. Also some charter requests for R Bay so trying to fit it all in.
