Well....looks like it may work. I did a dry fit, on just the first boards, and was about a 1/2 high, so I cut 3/8 off one, and 1/2 off the other (they were a bit uneven), now they are plumb and square within 1/8. Ill take it. The first set of boards were now good and hard, So, I rinsed them all down to get rid of any amine (and I did some more grinding), dried it off, then I added the other two courses of 1X6, one full and one half-length, adding a piece of fiberglass cloth to the hull between each course, and painted both sides of all three boards with epoxy, then I added strategic pieces of woven roving inside and outside, and then clamped the whole assembly to dry. I will do another course of roving and cloth tomorrow, then try another dry fit. Hopefully will have this jig issue worked out by then.
