Well, music has brought me so much joy in my life. I have been a headbanger and fan of Heavy Metal since I can remember. I was the mullet headed teenager that the whole school thought sacrificed chickens in my spare time. My dad Vic Sr. has played drums for over 50 years and inspired me to play as well. He is still to this day my favorite drummer EVER. He has supported me with every single band I have ever been. Taken videos, sold t-shirts, etc... To me there is no greater high (the only drug I do is beer) than playing in front of a shit load of people singing every word to the song we are playing. In this local scene I have met some of the most talented people and made some forever friendships and for those I will be eternally grateful. This scene deserves much more credit than it gets. At this time I am announcing my departure from Meanstreet (THE ONLY VAN HALEN TRIBUTE BAND). During my almost 2 years I have played cities and venues that I would never have imagined playing. We dress like them, we act like them, we sounded like them. When I joined our Facebook page had 250 likes. We are currently 4 away from 1000. Not all me but I put all my efforts in promoting us because we are that good. I have nothing but great memories and nothing but love for my brothers in the band. No shit slinging, no bad mouthing, no burnt bridges here. Anyone who truly knows me, knows that is not who I am. So Tom Messner, if you or anyone hear of a drummer that is looking to join a professional outfit please contact Robby Meyers who is my brother for life. As far as my music future...... I am gonna take a step back, reevaluate and look for a new project. I was put on this earth for 2 things. To make food that people wanna smack their mama for, and to play in front of people. Tom, you found my last 2 bands, looks like your services are needed again my friend.
