Well my GW Patriots Football team opened the season tonight against South Charleston & it was ugly, really ugly as we got beat down 56-14, worse than the score was the fact that we couldnt tackle, that has got to be the worst tackling I have ever seen by a high school, the offense actually played pretty well although the QB was a little shaky but when they didnt have eight in the box we actually ran the ball pretty well. Despite the score South Charleston did not play well either, I bet they had 200 yards in penalties against them. They would have a third & twenty five because of 3 strait penalties & then their 145 pound QB would take off down the field & brake 7 tackles on his was to a 35 yard gain. I thought maybe it was just something about him but then they gave the ball to a kid who was probably 120 pounds & he did the same thing. We have Ashland Paul Blazer next week at home & it could be worse, a lot worse if these kids dont learn to tackle. On a brighter not former GW star back & slot guy Ryan Switzer has been named preseason 1st Team All American in almost every magazine out there just one year out of GW.
