Well my Tuscobia adventure ended in dramatic fashion. After a really warm day and not so good trail conditions after a dumping of snow. The night took me out, poor gear choices led to a very frozen nose, numb toes due to excessive sweat freezing and my extreme winter mitts were packed in the wrong drop bag. Needless to say these 62 miles of sled pulling felt like 100 miles in effort. In fact I am in worse shape right now then I was after finishing EC100 and two days of Disneyland. It was very tough going, I was exhausted at mile 55 I needed to sleep on the trail. Lessons learned for sure. First lesson if I do this again do not dress like a runner.
