Well my first ever dead baiting for the pike I made some sprat size rigs hooked up my first one gave it a throw by what looked like a very pikey area less than 5 mins and bang float went straight under I was more surprised than the fish I think was buzzing having blanked for the last 2 weeks and my £16 rod and reel from decathlon did the business ..... New sprat attached again less than 5 mins got the second one. Having drove just over an hour then a further 30 mins to get to the Leeds/Liverpool canal I receive a phone call ... the misses is sick and needed me to come home and then had to drive all the way back :( not a happy bunny . Fingers crossed she will be well in the next few days and I may try my firsts attempt dead baiting on the old river or maybe drink water park :D
