Well my friends, I was so excited to be finished with radiation treatments last evening that when we got to Jerome Bettis Grille to eat dinner I I was smiling from ear to ear and just had to tell everyone I met that it was my husbands first time in this restaurant and we are celebrating my last radiation treatment! The waitress was so sweet too us! She took us on a tour of the place and right into Jeromes personal hide away when he is there to eat with his family! She took pictures of us holding his football and bottle of wine, his shoes and pictures on the wall of him and tiger woods ( Jerome beat him by one stroke that day, LOL ) We had a blast! When we were ready to get our bill she asked if we wanted desert and I said Id love to have a piece of carrot cake but dont have any room to eat it now! So bill said we will take a couple pieces to go! She brought back a huge container and whispered in my ear, you are a very strong lady and you have been through a lot and if we can give people free cake for birhdays I can give you one for recovery from cancer!!! I hugged her so tight and cried! Boy did she get a good tip!!! When we got to the car after walking around I looked in the box and she had given us a huge half of of a carrot cake! Man was it good!!!! What a special evening we had!! DRs still want to see me every 3 months for check ups for 2 years but its worth it to not get this again or catch it early!
