Well, my husband is now Lord Traini. You read correctly. :) The Symphony Orchestra Seniors purchased a very some bit of Land in the UK (In the Lake District), which has officially titled Tom a Lord in England. they also purchased him a set of white formal gloves for his evening tux. They are sending the paperwork. The Concert Orchestra also got an official autographed picture for Tom of a wizard (Radagast the Brown) from Lord of the Rings ...He is a HUGE fan of the Tolkien books. Toms final Orchestra concert was so nice, and the Full Orchestra did a good job on four full rehearsals for heavy duty literature. He played some of my favorites :) I filled in a tin whistle part for a Concert orchestra piece, which was fun for a Dsney Medley. The junior high orchestra has never sounded better! Full Orchestra played some of my favorite pieces...originals! 1) Mars from Holsts PLANETS. 2) The 2nd mvt from Beethovens 7th and 3) Academic Festival Overture by Brahms It is nice to see these kids enjoying not arrangements or band compositions that will never make the Great Works list, but among the absolute finest works of literature in the entire world! That is the difference between band and orchestra.
